In Au­gust 2017 eight eu­ro­pean air­ports opened parts of their API's for the Avi­a­tion Hackathon in Berlin to de­ve­l­ope in­no­v­a­tive con­cepts im­prov­ing the pas­sen­ger flow. To­gether with Iab­sis Moni­teurs de­vel­oped an idea for dig­i­tal queu­ing at the se­cu­rity check, which sig­nif­i­cant short­ens wait­ing time for pas­sen­gers at the check points.

Moni­teurs has re­vised the Ter­mi­nal Plan Ter­mi­nal 1 and Ter­mi­nal 2 in close co­op­er­a­tion with Frank­furt Air­port. Re­duced in con­tent, easy to read and clear, it helps pas­sen­gers to get an overview of the build­ings and lev­els. The most im­por­tant des­ti­na­tions and means of trans­port are shown, as well as the con­nec­tion to the rail­way. Gates and air­lines are as­signed to the two ter­mi­nals at a few se­lected lo­ca­tions in the build­ings, back­lit, al­ways in con­junc­tion with the air­line overview.

In ad­di­tion to the ori­en­ta­tion sys­tems, Moni­teurs de­vel­oped in­ter­faces for touch pan­els to con­trol me­dia and room tech­nics in the new In­no­va­tion Cen­ter at the Merck Cam­pus. These con­trol sys­tems were mounted in meet­ing rooms and co-work­ing spaces, as well as in the restau­rant, and had to ful­fil dif­fer­ent needs and re­quire­ments, for in­stance to con­trol the mu­sic in the restau­rant or to start a pre­sen­ta­tion in one of the meet­ing rooms.
