Topping Out Ceremony at Airport BBI [07.05.2010]
_· The exhibition “High Energy — Engineer Building Culture” presents the works of engineers Jörg Schlaich and Rudolf Bergermann over almost 40 years of practice. The three key topics of the exhibition are: construction and art, construction and society, construction and ecology. Moniteurs designed the concept and graphics for the exhibition. Numerous project examples are shown on working benches and archive tables on extendable graphic panels, giving the viewer an understanding of the groundbreaking approach and the workings of the two engineers.

The airport Groundbreaking ceremony: On the 7th of May in the presence of Airport CEO Dr. Rainer Schwarz, Deutsche Bahn chief Hartmut Mehdorn, Berlin Governing Mayor Klaus Wowereit, Brandenburg Minister President Matthias Platzeck, German Transport Minister Wolfgang Tiefensee and BBI Director Thomas Weyer, the topping out ceremony for Berlin’s new international airport BBI was celebrated. On this special occasion two prototypes, developed by Moniteurs for the airport orientation system, were presented on site. The official opening is scheduled for October 30, 2011.
